Murals in the morning, then the sea. We collect you at 8:45, walk the district with you, and afterwards drive down to Baby Beach on the southern tip of the island.
Your guide is Nico Caputo or Tito Bolivar. Tito started the tours and still walks them, though not every day — when he is not on the route you will find him in the ArtisA gallery.
Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, from 8:45 in the morning to about 3:30 in the afternoon. Bring a swimsuit and a towel.
8:45 AM – 3:30 PM
1. ArtisA gallery
You start where the whole thing began. Your guide shows you what the artists working here now are making, and how a gallery in a quiet corner of San Nicolas became the reason the murals exist.
2. The walls
From the gallery you walk out into the district. Your guide stops at the murals that matter and tells you who painted each one, where they came from and what they were asked to paint.
3. Space21
Space21 is where the makers work — studios, craft, people at their benches. You go inside, meet whoever is there, and get a break from the sun.
4. Back a different way
The route back takes another street, so you pass walls you have not seen yet.
5. ArtisA gallery again
Back where you started there is time to sit, ask the questions the walk raised, and look again at the work you have just seen in the street.
6. Baby Beach
After the walk we drive to the southern tip of the island and you get the afternoon at the water before we bring you back.
